Eastbourne Library hosting drop-in sessions

A STRING of health and well-being events have been organised at Eastbourne Library.

The events, at the Library in Grove Road in November and December 2011, involve Eastbourne Diabetes Club and Care for the Carers, plus two more sessions with the Alzheimer’s Society.

The sessions are:

• November 14 - Eastbourne Diabetic Club, 10am-noon. The session will offer advice and support and be held on the first floor (next to the health and wellbeing section, lift access is available) and library membership isn’t necessary. Please note the diabetes club will not be able to offer medical advice.

• November 15 - Alzheimer’s Society, 10.30am-12.30pm. The Alzheimer’s Society will once again be on hand at Eastbourne Library to offer information, advice and support to Alzheimer’s sufferers, their carers and relatives. Library membership is not necessary, and everyone is invited to attend the drop-in session. The Alzheimer’s Society will be situated on the first floor (next to the health and wellbeing section, lift access is available).

• December 2 - Care for the Carers, 10.30am-12.30pm. Care for the Carers will be offering information and advice to carers of all ages.

Another session will also be held at Pevensey Bay Library in the afternoon. Library membership is not necessary for either session.

• December 13 - Alzheimer’s Society, 10.30am-12.30pm. The last drop-in session of the year offers information, advice and support to Alzheimer’s sufferers, their carers and relatives. Library membership is not necessary. The Alzheimer’s Society will be situated on the first floor.
