DOGS from Eastbourne had an excellent showing at the recent Crufts dog show.

More than 20 dogs from the Eastbourne and District Canine Society earned a place in their class at the prestigious show.

Secretary Chris Cleland said, “It is extremely pleasing that so many of our members had their dogs placed in their classes and some went on to win top results in their breed.

“We’re absolutely delighted, our members did really really well.”

Dalmation Ozzy, owned by Mike and Chris Cleland, won the first place in the Puppy Dog category and Best Puppy in Breed

Dalmatian Gunner, also owned by Mike and Chris Cleland, took third place in Veteran Dog and first in the Good Citizen Class.

Saluki Rocco, owned by Brian and Annette Buckley, was first in Open Dog and received the Reserve Challenge Certificate.

Gordon Setter Ted, owned by Amanda and Jemima Worrall, was first in Limit Dog, second in the Young Kennel Club 12-16 years’ handling, and second in the Young Kennel Club stakes

English Springer Spaniel Lily, owned by Jill Barsley, was third in the Gamekeepers Class, and English Spring Spaniel Josie, also owned by Jill Barsley, VHC in Gamekeepers Class.
