The holidays are coming to Eastbourne....when the iconic Coca-Cola truck from the soft drink adverts arrives in town.

Coke announced yesterday (November 2) that Eastbourne would be the only town in Sussex – and one of only two in the South East – to welcome the festive truck.

Forty-six towns and cities around the UK have been chosen for the 2015 tour venue list. A spokesperson for Eastbourne’s Chamber of Commerce said the Chamber had been doing plenty of work behind the scenes to secure a vist from the truck, which features on Coke’s famous Christmas adverts.

This year is the 20th anniversary of the ‘holidays are coming’ advert.

Tim Cobb, president of the Eastbourne unLtd, said, “We are delighted that the global brand of Coca- Cola has chosen Eastbourne as a stopping place for its Christmas truck tour on this special year.

“The team at the Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce worked tirelessly to get the truck to stop in Eastbourne.

“It is another incredible vote of confidence in the town, its community and the army of growing young people choosing to live and raise families in this wonderful part of the south coast. Eastbourne...it’s the Real Thing!”

Members of the public will be able to visit the bus on December 18 from 12pm-8pm where it’s parked on the pedestrianised part of Terminus Road near Debenhams.
