The Mayor of Eastbourne attended a celebration event to mark 100 years of Cub Scouting at the weekend.
Cub Scouts from Eastbourne were among 2,500 young Sussex members of the movement who gathered at the South of England Showground in Ardingly, West Sussex, for three nights of camping.
While there, she also met with Eastbourne District Scout First Aid Team (EDSFA) who provide medical assistance at scouting events.
Mayor of Eastbourne Cllr Pat Hearn said, “It was great to be part of the centenary celebrations and I was impressed to learn about the important but little known service carried out by Eastbourne District Scout First Aid Team volunteers.
“Thanks to them parents can rest assured that medical assistance is immediately available at these events.”
