EASTBOURNE Arndale Centre has launched its annual Win A Car Christmas charity draw.

A brand new Suzuki Swift, worth £10,000, will make the present of a lifetime for one lucky person when the winning ticket is drawn on Christmas Eve.

Tickets are being sold for just £1 each with every penny raised going directly to the 47 charities who will each have a day in the Centre until December 24.

It will be the 11th year the Arndale Centre has organised the event - raising an incredible £195,000 since it began in 2000.

For the second year running, the car on offer, supplied in conjunction with Eastbourne Motoring Centre, will be a Suzuki Swift 1.2 SZ2 three-door hatchback with remote central locking, electric windows and MP 3 compatible CD player.

Eastbourne Arndale Centre manager Bill Plumridge said, “We decided to start this year’s Win A Car earlier than ever to help even more local charities raise money.

“We’re very proud every single penny raised from the event goes directly to 47 fantastic local causes.”

Matt Piper, of Eastbourne Motoring Centre, said, “We’re delighted to be involved with Win A Car again. It’s a great car for a great Christmas event.”

The charities that will be in the centre for the coming week are WEL Mind (November 11); Eastbourne Sea Cadets (November 12); Eastbourne Citizens Advice Bureau (November 13); Friends of Chaseley (November 14); Raystede Centre for Animal Care (November 15); Eastbourne CRUSE (November 16) and ESDA Out & About Hailsham (November 17).
