SEASIDE Townswomen’s Guild members will be holding a Christmas party when they meet this afternoon (Wednesday, December 15).
Meetings are held in St Augustine’s Hall of Christ Church at 2pm, and new members and visitors are always welcome.

THE FRIENDSHIP Club, based in the lounge of Duke Bernard Court, Latimer Road, meets tomorrow (Thursday) from 2.15-3.45pm.
This will be the final get together of 2010, and meetings will resume on January 6.
The weekly club is for senior citizens to play games, answer quizzes, or just sit and chat over a cup of tea.
It is the ideal way to make new friends, especially if you are new to the area.
The subscription is 50p a week, which covers the cost of refreshments.

A WINTER play session for children aged five and over will be held on Saturday December 18 at Regency Park Community Centre, Wartling Road, from 9am-12noon.
There will be lots of indoor toys and games, crafts, and a healthy snack.

THE FILM Forum, which usually meets in the Brodie Hall of Christ Church on the last Friday of the month, will not have a December meeting as it would coincide with New Year’s Eve.

A SERVICE of Nine Lessons and Carols will be held at Christ Church in Seaside on Sunday December 19 at 6pm.
A CHRISTMAS day dip in the sea is planned for all swimmers willing to take the plunge and raise money for St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
Swimmers and spectators should meet on the beach opposite the Langham Hotel at 8am, and the hotel will be providing refreshments – including hot mulled wine – to keep everyone warm.
