DYW: Polegate - January 26, 2011

POLEGATE Rambling Club walks on Thursday (January 27) include coffee and cakes again, four-and-a-half miles, one climb at start, downs and fields with Jean.

Alternatively take a longer walk of 11 miles flat with some roads, take picnic with Angela.

POLEGATE panto Alladin was very well produced, the costumes get more outlandish every year. This pantomime was the 40th which Polegate Community Association Drama Group have produced.

It was directed by Christine Anderson, choreography by Sue Wood, musical director Michelle Eldridge. What a nice voice Kathy Long has. She sang the songs for Hope Marie Henderson who was unable to sing on the evening I attended.

A COFFEE morning takes place at Polegate Community Centre, on Saturday January 29. The event will be hosted by Polegate Conservatives. All welcome from 10 am.

ANOTHER coffee morning is planned on Tuesday February 1 from 10am to 11.30am.

It will be hosted by Polegate Residents Association at St Johns Church Hall, High Street. The morning features two games of bingo and a large raffle.

There will be some stalls selling cakes, cards and bric-a-brac as well as the regular information stand which supplies leaflets on healthy living, safety and help around the home.

If you wish to join the association the cost is £2.50 per household per year, and can be paid at the coffee morning or can be collected by telephoning 484109.
