A PARISH council meeting is being held at the Village Hall at 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 8. Of particular interest may be the report by the village hall committee on the central heating.
There will also be a report from the county councillor, district councillor, clerk and chair and an opportunity at the beginning of the meeting for public input.
The council’s deliberations will be interrupted by the chairman at 9pm in order to decide how (and when) any remaining agenda items should be considered. All welcome.

BUNNY Run Childcare were pleased to offer their normal services last week without disruption in view of the weather conditions.
Schools Out were able to assist those families who needed emergency care due to the closure of all the local schools in the area and Bunny Hop had a fun time in the snow last Friday. Bunny Hops Christmas special before the end of term will be Friday, December 10. Everyone is welcome and they are looking forward to seeing you there!
PARK Mead Christmas Fair is being held at the school at Upper Dicker on Friday from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Carols by Candlelight will take place on Sunday at Trinity church, Upper Dicker at 6.30pm.
PHOTOGRAPHIC society meetings are held at Hellingly village hall on Thursdays from 7.30pm.
At a recent meeting Hailsham Photographic Society welcomed Ken Scott ARPS Bsc (Hons) Psych, from Steyning Photographic Society. He is a regular visitor to the club having judged audioVisual competitions and given talks in the past. Ken’s interest in photography grew from his love of mountaineering and witnessing first-hand how light and atmosphere can change the look of a landscape dramatically.

CARE Co-ops would like to invite you to an Open Day at New Road Nurseries, New Road, Carters Corner, Amberstone, on Wednesday December 15 from 12noon to 2pm.
Care Co-ops took over the operational responsibility for New Road Nurseries on November 1 from Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust. The service provides therapeutic work experience placements for local people with mental health support needs.
It is hoped to see many members of the public, councillors, potential service users, traders and anyone else interested in finding out more at the Open Day Exhibition.
HAWKES Farm Christmas Fair was cancelled last week. Regrettably, due to the adverse weather conditions last weekend, after much thought it was decided to postpone the school fair. The new date is Thursday December 16 from 2.45pm to 5.30pm.
The grand draw was still held as demanded by Wealden Licensing Laws on December 4 and as stated on the ticket. An independent person, being scout leader Paul Wood of 1st Hellingly Scout Group, drew the tickets. A list of winners will be posted on the Friends of Hawkes Farm facebook page as well as posters around the school.
The Friends of Hawkes Farm School thank the most generous local businesses and other sponsors who donated prizes for the draw.
