The annual Eastbourne Youth Fair is set to transform the Winter Garden next week (Tuesday 28 October) when hundreds of young people descend on the famous venue for a day of interactive stalls, dynamic displays and live music performances.
The youth fair is hosted by Eastbourne Youth Partnership and supported by a host of local youth groups including Sussex Police Cadets and Eastbourne Youth Forum. The half term event is free to enter with an action packed schedule running from 11am to 3pm.
Councillor Margaret Bannister, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Communities, said, “The Eastbourne Youth Fair has become an autumn highlight in the town during half term. It is always fantastic to see so many enthusiastic young people showcasing their amazing talent in such a prestigious venue as the Winter Garden.
“My sincere thanks go to all our sponsors, partners and council officers who help make the day such a success and I look forward to attending many more youth fairs in the future.”
Among the many activities being staged Sussex Police will be offering free cycle marking to help ensure bikes are better protected. BMX rider and Eastbourne resident, Tom Medley, 16, said, “I had my bike registered last year. It makes so much sense to get it done, especially as it is free of charge at the youth fair. Plus, there is lots more going on that you can get involved in.”
