DICKER DAY: It’s back! Sunday 26 June from 1pm to 7pm at the Upper Dicker Village Hall and field. Parking on the field, fun all over. Dicker Day, an annual event for many years, is raising the bar this year! On Sunday June 26 the Villagers are welcoming one and all to a day of family fun at the Upper Dicker Village Hall and field like we all remember from our childhood. Classic races , fun and interesting stalls, food and a live band together with a 50’s theme should give everyone a day to remember. Tug o’ War (Ladies verses Gentlemen), a fun scruffy dog show ( dogs who look like their owners etc) and a beer tent. Come dressed in 50’s style, bring Granny and Grandpa, try nettle and thyme cordial cocktails to make the afternoon a splash. Be astounded by the History exhibition with reminiscences of some of our older Villagers and have a bash at the Mums ‘n Dads Egg and Spoon race. The band will rock your day, the BBQ will tantalise you meat eaters and the Vegetarian fare on offer from our 50’s style catering van will astound you along with cream teas and strawberries and cream. Bring your kids so they know what a good old Village Fete is all about.
COFFEE MORNINGS AND BOOK EXCHANGE: Dicker Hall 10.40 to 12noon Thursday Mornings, Book Exchange/Purchase 20p .
