DICKER SUNDAY SERVICES: 9.15am Holy Communion – Upper Dicker. Next Sunday 13 September, The Vicar will be asking “Any Upper Dicker Questions?” The 9.15am service will include a time for Questions and Answers. The sermon slot is often all one way, but on this occasion the congregation is being asked to bring questions that the Vicar can give comment on and for others to chip in.

COFFEE & BOOKS: There are weekly coffee mornings with a book exchange at Dicker Hall 10.40am to 12noon every Thursday. Book Exchange or purchase 20p.

BASKETRY WEEKEND: The Sussex Archaeological Society are running a Reed Mace (‘bulrush’) Basketry course from tomorrow between 10.30am to 4.30pm and on Sunday 6 September 10.30am to 1pm. Cost is £95. QUIZ NIGHT: Bookings now being taken for the Dicker Village Hall Quiz night on Saturday 26 September at Dicker Village Hall 7pm for 7.30 start. Tickets Adults £7, Children (Under 12) £3.50. FLOWER SHOW: The Arlington and Upper Dicker Produce and Flower Show is tomorrow, Saturday, at 3pm in Arlington Village Hall. There are classes for vegetables, fruit, flowers, flower arranging, cookery, children’s classes and craftwork.
