FOOTNOTES: As Chaplin, the large black and white cat has appeared to select the cottage as a permanent residence, I have made enquiries of the neighbourhood and discovered he recently moved here with a young couple, whom he had also adopted. They were happy enough with his choice of a new home, and so I began to stock up with cat food again. As cats do he has selected his armchair and scowls at anyone who attempts to shift him.
Have a good week and go safely.
