REME: the next meeting of the Eastbourne and District Branch of the REME Association will ne held in the Royal British Legion Club, Polegate on Wednesday October 25, starting at 7.30pm.

THE FRIENDS OF EASTBOURNE Hospital: are holding their Autumn 2017 Exhibition and Sale of Local Art (in aid of the New Radiotherapy Unit for the treatment of cancer patients at the Eastbourne District General Hospital) in St Andrews School, Meads on Friday October 27 (preview from 6 to 8 pm), and on Saturday and Sunday October 28 and 29 from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is free. An informal Painting Demonstration by a well known local artist will be given at 2.30pm on Saturday.

ST CATHERINE’S COLLEGE: will be holding a Firework Spectacular on Thursday November 2. Advance tickets are available from Reception: Adults £4.50, Child £”3.00, Family £12.00 (On the gate Adult £5.00 Child £3.50, Family £15.00). Fireworks organised and provided by Frontier Fireworks (as seen at Airbourne 2017). There will be food available a well as a bar, a Funfair and Gifts. Gates open at 6.00 pm, Fireworks at 7.30 pm.

THE WESTHAM EVENING Women’s Institute: will be holding their Winter Fair in Westham Village Hall on Thursday October 27 starting at 7.00 pm.

DON’T FORGET THE ROYAL British Legions Coffee Morning: raising funds for the Poppy Appeal, on Saturday November 4, starting at 10.00am which will be held in Westham Village Hall. Entrance is 50 p which gives you a cup of coffee/tea and a biscuit. There will be other refreshment4s available. There will be plenty of stalls which will be attractive to everybody.
