THERE WILL BE AN evening of dance: organised by Momentum Dancing in St Luke’s Parish Centre on the 1st Friday of every month so March 3rd will be the next one. Dancing will be between 8 and 11 pm with entrance costing £7. You are invited to take along your own drinks and snacks although there will be free tea and biscuits. THE NEXT MEETING OF the Pevensey and Westham Historical Society: will be held on Monday March 6 in Westham Village Hall starting at 7.30 pm when Tony Harris will talk about “Kiss me goodnight Sergeant Major”. Membership of the Society is a very reasonable £3.50 per person although a Family membership (or two or more people living at the same address) is even better value at £6. Membership is open to all and the Society runs a very varied list of talks.

THE WESTHAM POP-IN: is held every Wednesday in the Village Hall from 9.30 to 11.30 am. This is a fun and friendly groupopen to new anwd established villagers of all ages, for a morning of chat and friendship over tea, coffee and biscuits. Entrance is free with refreshments costing 60 p including biscuits. There is always a large selection of books for sale, all at 30p per copy.

THE SAMARITANS: have opened a Charity Shop at No 31 Grove Road in Eastbourne. They describe themselves as a “traditional” Charity Shop selling donated goods to raise much needed funds for their Listening Centre which gives unconditional support 2/47 tp those in emotional distress. They are always looking for good quality items to sell in the shop including Bric a brac, collectables, book, pictures, jewellery, handbags, shoes, clothing etc. They are also looking for volunteers to help in the running of the shop, so if you have 3 to 4 (or even more) hours to spare each week then please contact either Lindy or Raymond on 01323 646624 for more details or call in at the shop. They will be pleased to hear from you.
