British Legion: The Pevensey, Westham and Stone ross Branch of the Royal British legion will be holding their Christmas Lunch on Monday Decembeer 12 in the Moorings Hotel.

THE EASTBOURNE LIONS CLUB: and the Eastbourne Angling Association invite you to join them at an Evening of Video Horse Racing on Friday December 2 in the Eastbourne Angling Association Clubhouse on the Sea Front, Royal Parade – doors open at 7 pm. You are invited to have a small flutter to help raise money for the Lions Charitable Trust. Entry is Free but any non-members of the EAA Club are asked to e.mail [email protected] or telephone 08458 332705 to register for free clubhouse entry.

THE NEXT TABLE SALE: in Westham Village Hall will be held on Saturday November 26, starting at 9.30 am until 12 pm. Admission is free and there will be lots of stalls of interest to many including crafts, jewellery, bric-a-brac, knitwear, cakes, jams, pickles and charity stalls. Refreshments will be available throughout the morning.

PEVENSEY AND WESTHAM HISTORICAL Society: will be holding their last meeting of the year on Monday Dec 5 starting at 7.30 pm when Thelma and John Burgess will be exploring “Christmas through the Lantern”. Normal entry fees apply to this meeting, i.e. 25 pence for members and £1 for non-members and visitors.

THE EASTBOURNE CATS ADOPTION Centre: will be holding a Fund Raising stall in the Arndale Centre on Saturday November 26 from 9 am to 5pman and their Christmas Fayre will be held the following day (November 27) in the Adoption Centre iin Marshfoot Lane, Hailsham. All are welcome at both events so please go along to both or either of these functions and help them raise funds for the Centre.
