Stone Cross, Westham and Hankham

THERE WILL BE A Babies and Nearly New Sale: in Stone Cross Memorial Hall on Sunday July 12 from 9 – 11 am. Anybody wanting a table (at £7) should contact either 07951 329370 or 07580 977317. Entry is free to the event.

Quiz: Are you feeling in a quizzical mood and want to exercise your brain? If do, why not go along to St Mary’s Church, Westham, on Saturday July 11 and take part in their Bell Ringers Quiz. 7pm for a 7.30 pm start. There is a maximum of 8 to a team: Tickets are £6 each and that includes a ploughman’s supper, tea and coffee. Take your own drink along. For further information and tickets please contact 01323 761019. All proceeds go towards the restoration of the bells in the Church.

gardens: Why not take a day out and visit the garden at Greatease, Litlington, which is open to the public on Wednesday July 15 from 10.30 am and 12.30 pm and also 2 to 4 pm. Morning coffee and afternoon tea will be served and the garden will be open whatever the weather throws at us. Entry is by donation and there will be stalls selling a variety of items and any contributions towards the stalls will be greatly accepted. The garden is open by kind permission of then owners and can be reached from the A27 towards Lewes, turn left at Willington or A259 towards Seaford, turn right at Exceat and follow the garden signs. There is good access for disabled visitors.

ADVANCE WARNING: FOR VISITORS and stall holders who attend the Stone Cross Coffee Morning and Market. The Parish Hall is being re-furbished during the month of August and therefore the normal activities on a Friday morning will not be held. It is anticipated that the Coffee Mornings will re-start on Friday September 4.
