COMMUNITY CINEMA: Seaford Community Cinema are showing Cafe Society cert 12A starring Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart and Steve Carell at The Barn Theatre, Saxon Lane tonight, Friday, at 7.30pm. Tickets available from Seaford Tourist Information Centre, 37 Church Street or on the door.

SYNERGY THEATRE: Are performing Talking Heads by Alan Bennett at The Clinton Centre, Clinton Place from Wednesday to Saturday, February 15 to 18, starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Newberry Tully Estate Agents, 53 Church Street.

DEMONSTRATION: By Graham King titled I’ve Had an Idea for Seaford Afternoon Flower Club being held on Thursday from 2pm at Seaford Baptist Church, Belgrave Road. Visitors £5 on the door to include refreshments.

LUNCHTIME CONCERT: On Saturday February 18, at 1pm starts the 10th year of Lunchtime Concerts at St Leonard’s, Church Street which will be given by Ellie Blackshaw, violin/viola and Julian Broughton piano. After musical training at the Royal College of Music in the 1980’s, Ellie Blackshaw was consistently been in demand as chamber musician playing wide variety of repertoire, old to contemporary as violinist and violist in and around Brighton and London. The programme will include: Vaughan William’s Lark Ascending sonata for violin and piano by Julian Broughton, Elgar’s Chanson de Nuit and Chanson de Matin. Concert lasts approximately an hour has free admission with a retiring collection.

FITNESS LEAGUE: With Margaret. Tone and stretch, strengthen and mobilise ready for spring. Fun, achievable, non competitive, low impact exercises to music which are suitable for both men and women. Classes held at Seaford Head 6th Form Centre, Steyne Road on a Tuesday from 7pm to 8pm during term time.
