LUNCHTIME CONCERTS: The latest in the series of these concerts will be held on Saturday August 29 at St Leonard’s Church at 1pm. Playing will be Niall O’Riordan flute, described by critics as dazzling, totally ravishing and technically flawless. He was awarded the Rising Star Award by Sir James Galway at the International Flute Festival. Anne Marshall has established herself as a leading accompanist based in London and is a regular accompanist for Sir James Galway and often appears in concert with him. The lunchtime concert lasts approximately one hour which is free with a retiring collection.

FAMILY FUN DAY: Family Fun Day and Dog Show at Martello Fields tomorrow, Saturday, from 10am to 4pm. Proceeds to Waifs and Strays. For more information Tel: 07557303460.

SEAFORD MOTORFEST: At Martello Fields is taking place on Sunday from 11am to 8pm. There will be veteran, vintage, classic and souped-up cars, also array of motorbikes. Lot’s to see including funfair and live music. Programmes £1. For more information www.seafordcommunityeventscommittee.co.uk

CROUCH BOWLING CLUB: The club are playing a special match against the pensioners from The Royal Hospital, Chelsea on Wednesday at 2.30pm at The Crouch Gardens, East Street to celebrate the clubs 80th Anniversary. Spectators very welcome. Further details from Brian Bodsworth on 01323 896344.

WEIGHT WATCHER’S GROUP: This group will be holding a fundraising morning at The Over 60’s Club, The Down’s Leisure Centre on Monday from 9.30am to 11am selling cakes, handbags, clothes etc and a raffle. Proceeds to Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and items donated to Chestnut Tree Charity Shop.

BOOK LOVERS: Annual Seaford Book Lovers Evening on Thursday September 10 at 7.30pm. Everyone welcome to this fun and relaxed free annual event. There will be an open discussion on this year’s choice of book Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee. There will also be a short quiz and a chance to talk about books enjoyed over the previous year. You are welcome to bring books to donate to a free book swap. Donation buckets for drinks and Seaford Live nominated charity. Doors open 7pm.
