COFFEE MORNING: The coffee morning tomorrow, Saturday, is hosted by Wine and Social Club. All welcome in the lounge from 10am to noon at Polegate Community Centre. The coffee morning on Saturday July 16 is hosted by the Centre Fundraising.

WALKS: Tomorrow, Saturday, Views of a White Horse, 5 miles with Diana G. Meet at Exceat Visitors Centre, 10am bus 12X, 9.33am Terminus Road Stand J. Forest and Downs, some steps. On Sunday, Willingdon Wanderer, 8 miles with Bob J. Meet bus No 51 at 9.40am Terminus Road to the Triangle, Lower Willingdon. Walk starts at 10am. Dry lunch Jevington. Evening walk on Wednesday, Rathfinney Trail, Alfriston 5 miles with John and Marion R. Meet at the Avenue, 6.30pm walk starts at short stay car park Alfriston 7pm GR 520033. Long drag uphill near start. Then through Rathfinney Vineyard and alongside the river.

LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY: Polegate and Willingdon Local History Society next meet on Friday July 15 when our speaker is Brian Freeland on the Sussex Folk. Doors open at 6.30pm, meeting starts at 7pm. All welcome.

SPA VALLY RAILWAY: Murder Mystery train ride is taking place on Saturday July 16, in the evening at Spa Valley Railway, booking in advance please. Either Tunbridge Wells West Station, Nevill Terrace, Tunbridge Wells. Telephone 01892 537715 or book online from our website www.spavalleyrailway.co.uk

POLEGATE WINDMILL: Are holding their Summer Fair on Sunday July 17, on the Platt at the windmill when John Purcell will bring Con Brio again to entertain with a mixture of music during the afternoon. Once again we will need helpers to run stalls and tables. Please contact Patricia Stevens on 734496. Also required cakes for the cake stall and items for the bric-a-brac stall.

NEW EVENING WI: A meeting is taking place on Tuesday July 19 at 7.30pm, where a new name and format will be discussed. Held at Polegate Community Centre.
