LOCAL HISTORY: Polegate and Willingdon Local History Society meet today, Friday, and they have a mystery speaker. As I do not have a current programme I have no idea who the speaker is, so I suggest that you turn up to find out. Doors open at 6.30pm, for meeting commencing 7pm to 9pm at St Johns Church Hall, High Street.
COFFEE MORNING: Tomorrow, Saturday, the coffee morning at Polegate Community Centre is hosted by Polegate WI. All welcome in the lounge at 10am to noon.
SUMMER FETE: BUPA Elstree Court Nursing Home, 64 Meads Road, Eastbourne are holding a summer fete tomorrow, Saturday, from 11am to 2pm. Programmes include barbecue, stalls, fun and games and a bouncy castle. Local history books is one of the stallholders. www.bupa.co.uk/care-homes
