MERIDIAN EVENING WI: As our last meeting fell on Burns Night we just had to have a Scottish Taster Evening. Several members found something tartan to wear and were offered tastes of haggis, neeps and tatties as well as a wee dram. We had several quizzes with a Scottish theme and an attempt at the Gay Gordons. During the business part of the meeting we were pleased to welcome two visitors and hope to see them again. It was announced that one of our Presidents, Angela Barnett, will be representing us at the National AGM to be held in Liverpool in June. After discussion a vote was taken as to which resolution to put forward for debate at the AGM, most members supported Supporting Women’s Refuges .
