THE VILLAGE MARKET: at The Community Wise Centre, Ocklynge Road takes place on Saturday May 28 from 10am-12.30pm. Once there you will find so many local, fresh and organic goods and foods – homemade cakes, pies, scones, jams and produce, locally produced bread, free range eggs, fresh olive oil direct from Greece, local honey, home-made curries ... the list goes on. Lovely local crafts also on sale make ideal gifts. Entry is free and refreshments are on sale all morning – a buttered scone and cup of tea or coffee costs only £1.20! Every Friday from 11-1.30pm ‘Gather’ pop up cafe and simple soup lunch runs at Community Wise in Ocklynge Road. Open to all who live alone. Free entry, small charge for refreshments.

FAMILIES FOR AUTISM: will be holding their annual Summer Fair on Saturday June 4 from 12-4pm at St Elizabeth ‘s Church, Victoria Drive. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun on the bouncy castle, have a tea and a cake, BBQ and many more games and activities. Just come along on the day.

‘A Right Royal’ coffee morning : at St. Mary’s Church, Old Town. Access via Lawns Avenue/Ocklynge Road on Saturday, 11 June from 10am until 12pm. St. Mary’s church, Old Town are hosting a coffee morning to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday. We will be selling cakes/savouries, books, plants and bric-a-brac. Do come along and help us make the most of this memorable occasion. Entry and most items priced at just 90p

Ocklynge Manor Garden Party: at Ocklynge Manor B & B, Mill Road Eastbourne on Tue, 5 July 2016 10:30am until 4pm. As part of the Eastbourne Open Garden season, Ocklynge Manor has kindly given the use of it’s beautiful setting to allow St. Mary’s Church, Old Town to host a garden party. The gardens are stunning and are a most welcome delight behind the old flint walls. It really is like entering a magical secret garden and well worth a visit. Tea/coffee and cakes will be on offer to sustain and refresh you together with a gift stall and a raffle. We are open from 10.30am - 12.30pm and again from 2pm - 4pm. Entry by donation. All welcome
