COMMUNITY WISE VILLAGE Market: will be held on Saturday August 1 from 10am -12.30 pm. There will be lots of lovely foods and items on sale, such as: – Spanish omelettes, home-cooked curries, fresh bread, free-range eggs, preserves, home-made cakes, scones and pies, local cheese, honey, plants and garden items. A variety of crafts and jewellery will also be on sale. Entry is free and refreshments are on sale all morning.

EASTBOURNE FUN FAMILY Dog Show: takes place on Sunday August 9 from 11-4pm. There will be pedigree classes and classes for all dogs which include fun categories, and agility show. Winners of each class will compete for Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show. Entry fee £1.50 per dog per class or 4 for £5. There will be a variety of stalls, sideshows and all proceeds will be in aid of Basil Memorial Fund, which provides veterinary care for abandoned or rescued dogs in the Eastbourne area. Entry to the event is just £1 by programme, which includes 5 free raffle tickets.

CAVENDISH SPORTS CENTRE: is open in the school holidays for morning, afternoon or all day for their Rascals sessions. Please contact the centre on 01323 647683 for spaces for your 4-12 year old children.

OLD TOWN CHILDREN’S CENTRE: is in Victoria Drive. Should you need to contact them for information or advice please call 01323 464570.

VICKY BEES: Victoria Baptist Church, Eldon Road meet every Monday from 10-11.45am. If you would like to have more information, please contact them on 01323 737974.

EASTBOURNE SWIMMING CLUB: will be celebrating their 150th Anniversary next year and I am compiling the history of the club. If you have any photos, newspaper cuttings, information or simply memories of the club, please could you forward them to me at the above web address.
