A MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING: will be held at 10.30 am – 12.30 pm on Friday, 25th September in Bishopstone Parish Hall. Delicious homemade cakes, filter coffee and tea will be available, as well as a homemade/home-grown bring-and-buy produce stall and a raffle plus a Phoenix Cards stall. All welcome, please do come along and bring your friends for a lovely morning supporting a great Charity.

FREE HORSE MANURE: is available on west (Newhaven) side of Bishopstone Road between Bishopstone Estate and Bishopstone Pond: help yourself, but please return or replace the bags.

The Seed Gathering: Season starts on Wednesday, 23rd September and is the start of a month-long celebration organized by the Tree Council. The focus is on collecting local tree seeds and then growing them up for tree planting nearby as needed. Dutch Elm Disease has taken its toll on the Downs, including killing a number of trees in and around Bishopstone this year, changing the character of the valley.
