PLEASE NOTE: There will not now be parking for the Alfriston Dickensian evening at The Berwick Arms.

ROAD CLOSED: Also please note that the road through Alfriston will be closed from 1.30pm to 9pm tomorrow, Saturday, November 21. Signage will indicate the detour via Litlington for a route between the A259 and the A27.

DICKENSIAN EVENING: Tomorrow, Saturday, November 21 is when the Seaford Bonfire Society’s torchlight procession leads Father Christmas through the village to turn on the Christmas lights in the square; the village shops stay open late and there is entertainment from the Hunters Moon Morris dancers with lots of food, drink and much more. Full details of the event are in all shops and on the village website. Parking is available at Posturite in Berwick and at Middle Farm (on the A27) and there is Park and Ride from both sites and the station starting at 1.30pm and ending with the last bus at 10pm. There will be a charge for the bus. All trains between 2pm and 10.20pm will stop at Berwick Station for this Saturday only.

LULLINGTON CHURCH: There will be a Lantern Service at Lullington Church on November 29 at 4.30pm with Advent Carols and readings in the warm, candlelit church. All are welcome. It is advised that a torch maybe necessary to light the way on the path leading to the church.
