FOR several years now pupils at Hankham School have taken part in the Eastbourne in Bloom Competition and this year was no exception. Ably represented by Lois Petit, Bethany Ellenger, Archie Cheshire and Sophie Newbold, the team did a fantastic job, carefully explaining work to the judges (the Deputy Mayor of Eastbourne and other local dignitaries). They certainly impressed the judges with their knowledge and enthusiasm as the school was awarded second prize, only narrowly being beaten by Tollgate Junior School, the overall winners. Congratulations to them for their hard work and dedication.
