RESIDENTS are invited to comment on the Supplementary Planning Document for the Sovereign Harbour neighbourhood on the feedback form enclosed with the leaflet delivered to all harbour homes, or by following the link from the home page of the Borough Council website: www.eastbourne.gov.uk.  A public consultation event is being organised at the Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club on Saturday June 3.The consultation closes on July 24.

THE SHECAT entry for the Eastbourne Sunshine Carnival is almost complete. The team has put a tremendous effort into the design and construction of the float, with the support of a number of community groups, so it is hoped harbour residents will turn out in large numbers to support the entry.” The Sunshine Carnival procession starts from the Fishermen’s Green at 6pm on Saturday, June 2, and travel along the seafront to the Western Lawns.  For more information, visit: www.shecat.info.

THE North Harbour bridge will be closed on Wednesday, May 30, 10am-11am and again 11.30am-12.30pm. Premier Marinas apologises for any inconvenience.

THERE is a ‘Diamond Talents’Art and Craft Exhibition and Flower Festival in St Richard’s Church Hall, Etchingham Road, Langney on Saturday, June 2, 10am-4pm, and Sunday, June 3, 10.20am-3.30pm.-Entry £1 for adults, 50p children.

THE Sovereign Harbour Social Club has reached the limit of 70 members that can be safely accommodated in the Simply Italian annex.  A waiting list will be handled on a “first-come first-served” basis.  Theclub meets for “coffee and a chat” 10am-11.30am every Wednesday.

SOVEREIGN Ward Councillors’ hold monthly surgeries in the annex of Simply Italian on the Sovereign Harbour Waterfront, on Saturdays, 11am-12.30pm and in the Beatty Café, Beatty Road, on Wednesdays, 6pm-7pm. THE Eastbourne Sovereign Harbour Discussion Group, formerly the Sovereign Harbour Debating Society, meets in the Simply Italian Annex on Wednesdays, 2.30pm-4pm. Membership fre, all are welcome.

BRUSHSTROKES Artists is a friendly, informal group of artists, with a range of abilities, working in various media, meeting on Wednesdays, 1pm-4pm in St. Richard’s Church Hall, Etchingham Road, Langney, BN23 7AX.
