Down Your Way: Old Town - May 16

THE Sussex Wildlife Trust, Eastbourne Group, May meeting, will be held as usual at the Victoria Baptist Church, Eldon Road, Eastbourne, BN21 1UE on Thursday, May 17 commencing at 7.30pm, at which there will be an illustrated talk titled ‘A stroll along an English Country Lane’ by Ray Hale, a wildlife lecturer.

Ray will talk about the many things that can be seen during a walk along an English country lane including much that most of us may never even notice.

The admission charge is £2 for SWT members and £3 for non-members - tea/coffee and biscuits will be served during the interval for a charge of 50p.

There is a large car park at the church and for security reasons the entrance door to the church will be locked shortly after the start time so please ensure you arrive in good time. THE FARMERS market, at the Community Wise Centre, Ocklynge Road, on Saturday, May 26, from 10am-12.30pm. The market is packed with fresh local home-made produce and healthy foods, including bread, meat, preserves, spices, cakes, scones and fudge, plus lots of exciting crafts, all at reasonable prices. Refreshments available.
