SHINEWATER Lane Community Hub, based on Shinewater Field, has a new website. The formerly named Beat Youth Club, is just off Lavender Close, and you can visit www.ShinewaterLaneHub.org.
Secretary Stephen Kittoe is encouraging persons to visit and see what will be happening.
There are already creative taster sessions for women on Thursday night - Ruth Mendes, 07549438270.
Langney Wanderers football team, closely allied to the Hub and based on the field, needs new players to join an under 16s team: contact Tracey or Tibs Saunders on 07974241641.
The Hub would also like to hear from potential volunteers willing to organise weekly tea, coffee and biscuit café-style sessions and anyone who can help with youth activities. Both are asked to email ShinewaterLaneHub@gmail.com in the first instance.
The Hub is available for groups to hire on a regular basis and also for private functions too. It makes a great venue for children’s parties as there is plenty of space.
THE next fun day for Shinewater is already being planned, although it doesn’t take place until September! That just shows you how much effort the organisers put in.
Cllr Jim Murray and co are asking for helpers and a meeting takes place on March 26, 7.30pm to promote the programme, gain input and volunteers. Pop along to the Shaftesbury Centre to find out more then.
THE Shaftesbury Centre now has a noticeboard outside. The board has recently been installed to spread the word of contacts and event information.
