A SUMMER School takes place at Cavendish School, Eldon Road for the week of August 20 for 8 to 12 year olds. Zylo Performance will join them to bring a fun week of activities, including three days of street dance, an outdoor activities day at Seven Sisters Country Park and a picnic and scavenger hunt. The cost is £45 for the week but if you are on free school meals it is completely free! WOULD you like to know more about the historic Old Town of Eastbourne? Come and find out more about the history and stories of the people who lived and founded our community. Meet outside the Lamb Inn, High Street at 2.30pm (inside, if wet!) on Sunday, August 19, September 9 or 23 for a 90-minute stroll around some of the oldest streets, led by local storyteller Derek Legg. A PROGRAMME of music for a summer’s day will be on offer at Greenfield Methodist Church in Old Town on Tuesday, August 21. At 3pm celebrated organist, the Rev Michael Maine, will give a recital of specially selected music. The Rev Maine, organist at All Saints Church Hove for 30 years, has gained a great following of people from far and wide to hear him play. Refreshments will be served during the interval and there will be a retiring collection for Greenfield Methodist Church funds.

OCKLYNGE Junior School Holiday Club runs sessions in the school holidays. Pop into the Pavilion Playhouse, (via school entrance in Farlaine Road) for more information on availability, costs and times available.
