A CHARITY wants locals to help it through the rest of the year by donating a bag full of belongings.
British Heart Foundation (BHF), which is based at 165 Terminus Road, is holding its bag-athon throughout September and says, on average, each bag it has donated is worth around £20 to the charity.
Lyn Boagey, area manager for the BHF Sussex shops, said, “I’d like to encourage people to get involved and join in the Great British Bag-athon. BHF Shops sell 90,000 items daily so donations from the local community are vital.
“We’re always keen to receive Sussex’s lovely clothing, accessories, handbags, shoes, books, CDs and DVDs so get filling those bags now. Every bag you fill makes a real difference and is worth on average £20 to the BHF.
“Getting involved couldn’t be easier, just one bag can make a difference.”
