Polegate’s David Tame is the lucky winner of the Airbourne Lottery.
David has scooped a new Suzuki Alto – and the lottery proceeds will go towards funding future flying displays at Airbourne.
Mr Tame said, “I am ecstatic to have won the car! I always try to enter things and donate where I can towards Airbourne. It is such a fantastic free airshow and I would like it to continue each year. I can’t wait to take my lovely new car for a spin and would like to thank the organisers for my win!”
The red Suzuki Alto has been placed at events over the season, first appearing at Magnificent Motors, the Aegon International Tennis Championships and of course at Airbourne.
The car visited a number of prime locations through the summer season including the Arndale Centre and Tesco on Lottbridge Drove.
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Tourism, Leisure and Sports Services, Cllr Carolyn Heaps said, “With thousands entering the draw, we are delighted to place the funds into future Airbourne displays. This year’s event drew fantastic crowds and we hope that we can continue this precedence and improve year on year with this fund.”
