Residents are being asked to drop off quality clothes, books, toys and household goods at their local Safestore for a week-long ‘Dash to donate’ challenge which aims to collect as much stock as possible for the disability charity Scope.
It is the third year that Safestore, the UK’s largest self storage company, has teamed up with Scope and donations are being accepted at all 96 Safestore branches, including the local Safestore in Brampton Road, from May 27-June 2.
Members of the public can pick up donation bags and drop off any items at their local Safestore or Scope branch. Safestore branches will also be competing with each other to see which of its 96 stores can fill the largest amount of storage space with donated stock.
The items will then be sold by Scope across its network of almost 250 charity shops located across the country, raising vital funds to support its work with disabled people.
