COUNTY NEWS: Armed police called to 20-hour-long incident

Armed police were called to an incident that has been unfolding overnight.

Sussex Police confirmed that they received a call at 4.30pm yesterday afternoon and sent officers to a property in London Road, Bexhill.

Armed police were then called to the scene. The incident involved three males, according to police, and carried on throughout the night.

It is still ongoing, and officers remain at the scene but armed police are no longer present.

A police spokesman said a further statement will be issued shortly.
