A teenager is to appear in court accused of carrying out a series of thefts from shops in Seaford.

The 17-year-old was arrested after a 31-year-old was held up at knifepoint and robbed of his money in High Street, Newhaven on Tuesday.

He was questioned before being charged with robbery and repeated thefts of alcohol from Tesco in Sutton Park Road, Seaford, and The Co-operative in Broad Street, Seaford, in June.

The youth, of no fixed address, will appear at Brighton Youth Court on 23 July.
