POLICE found cannabis after executing a drugs warrant at an Eastbourne address.
Eastbourne Magistrates was told the stash was found at a property in Midhurst Road, where Andrew Hall had been staying with a relative.
No-one was in at the time but the 26-year-old was arrested about a week later.
Hall, of Welbeck Close, admitted being in possession of 110.47grams of cannabis.
Andrew Whelpton, defending, said, “Mr Hall appears before the court and has pleaded guilty to the charge. He was contacted by the police and attended voluntarily at the station.
“At the time he was sharing the address with a relative who had nothing to do with the item found and I understand they had been staying temporarily at their girlfriend’s address.
“I’d ask you to give him full credit, he co-operated with the police as well as he could.”
He added his client, who had previously worked as a labourer, wasn’t working at the moment but would be starting a job soon for five months when he would be involved with the construction of a new supermarket.
Hall was given a £150 fine and must also pay £85 in costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
