Seaford: Boy, 13, to face burglary charge

A 13-YEAR-OLD boy from Seaford is due to appear in court in the new year after being charged with burglary.

The teenager has been bailed to appear before a youth court on January 10.

Two other teenagers were arrested on suspicion of burglary after two intruders were disturbed by an occupant of a property in Guardswell Place around 12.45pm on Wednesday, December 14.

A 15-year-old boy from Lewes and a 14-year-old boy from Seaford were arrested on suspicion of burglary and were questioned and bailed until Thursday, December 29.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the crime.

Sergeant Andy Bennett said, “Two intruders were disturbed by the occupant and fled the property.

“Descriptions were obtained and two suspects were arrested by police a short time later.”
