Police appeal after man robbed of cash

POLICE are appealing for information after a man was robbed of cash in Eastbourne.

The victim was walking along New Road when he was approached by two men who threatened him.

He handed over a small amount of cash and the pair then left towards Belmore Road.

The incident happened on Thursday June 7 at around 11pm.

One of the suspects is described as white, aged in their late 20s and wearing red coloured tracksuit trousers. The second man is described as black, also aged in his late 20s.

Detective Constable Dave Satchwell of East Sussex CID said, “This incident happened very quickly but it was a frightening experience for the victim.

“We are keen to trace these two men and appeal for anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident.”
