A 28-YEAR-OLD father-to-be damaged a front door after an argument with his pregnant girlfriend’s mother.
Jason Billingham pleaded guilty to damaging the door and admitted being in breach of a two-year conditional discharge imposed for another criminal damage offence.
The court heard Billingham, of Somerset Close, Milton Keynes, had been visiting his girlfriend, who is pregnant with his child, at her home in Southern Road in Hampden Park when he had an argument with her mother on November 13.
He had been out drinking and, following some abusive comments, left the house.
He then realised he had left his belongings inside and attempted to get back in to the house armed with a brick.
Marc Maitland, defending, said only slight damage was caused and Billingham had not thrown the brick at the door. Mr Maitland said Billingham accepted it was ‘extremely stupid’ and that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
Magistrates ordered a pre-sentence report and Billingham will return to court to be sentenced for the offence on December 15. He was granted bail with conditions not to attend the address in Southern Road.
