Homes hit as burglars grabs goods

POLICE are appealing for information following three burglaries over the New Year weekend.

On New Year’s Eve, a house in Ashgate Road was broken into and an XBOX 360, a Pentax camera and some ladies clothing stolen.

Over the same night, Friday, December 31 to Saturday, January 1, another house was burgled in Sandwich Street.

There an Olympus pink digital camera, Dell blue lid laptop and three items of jewellery were stolen.

The stolen items were a 18ct gold ID bracelet with an inscribed name, 18ct white gold diamond neck chain and 22ct gold communion cross with a name engraved. The items were valuable in monetary terms and also sentimentally.

In the early hours of Sunday, January 2, a house was broken into in Wroxham Road. Items stolen included a pink Fuji camera, Packard Bell Laptop, Nintendo DS lite and a pair of GHB Hair straighteners.

Detective Constable Matt Armstrong said, “Anyone who can help is asked to contact 0845 60 70 999, quoting serial 1171 or 1147 of January 1, or 167 of January 2 respectively.
