THREE people have been arrested after a 42-year-old man was stabbed in the early hours of Friday (June 24).
Police who were called to the scene found that the victim had suffered stab wounds to his arm and back, causing superficial injuries, in the incident in Diplocks Walk, Hailsham.
He remains in the Eastbourne District General Hospital in a stable condition.
Two men aged 26 and 57 and a 49-year-old woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
The woman was treated at the DGH for head injuries and later released.
Detective Inspector Rob Morland, from Wealden CID, said, “This was a nasty attack between known persons and we are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
“If anyone heard or saw anything suspicious at around 2am this morning we would ask them to contact Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 0136 of 24/06 or alternatively they could call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.” The trio were released on bail until September.
