FOUR men appeared in court charged with assaulting a young couple in Eastbourne weeks before their wedding.

Daniel Wood, 22, of Gilbert Road, pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm to then bride-to-be Aleksandra Rybak on the beach after Airbourne on August 15.

He also pleaded not guilty to causing actual bodily harm to Ms Rybak’s husband David Daw with the three other men.

Michael Burnett, 18, of Lambert Road, also pleaded not guilty to jointly assaulting Mr Daw, Eastbourne magistrates heard on January 21.

Matthew Akehurst, 18, of Rotunda Road – also charged with causing actual bodily harm to Mr Daw – did not enter a plea.

A 16-year-old boy also appeared in court charged with causing actual bodily harm to Mr Law and assaulting his then wife-to-be Ms Rybak.

The four were released on unconditional bail until March 4 when they will return to Eastbourne Magistrates’ Court.
