Four arrested over offensive graffiti in Eastbourne

Four people have been arrested by police investigating a spate of offensive graffiti in the St Anne’s Road area of Eastbourne.

A 25-year-old man, a woman from Eastbourne aged 19, a 20-year-old man from Eastbourne and a man aged 18, also from Eastbourne, were detained on Sunday on suspicion of racially aggravated criminal damage. All four have been released on conditional bail until June 6.

Inspector Rachel Barrow said, “I would like to thank local residents for their assistance in our enquiry. We worked closely with Eastbourne Borough Council to ensure the graffiti was removed as quickly as possible.”
