Sussex crime writer Peter James will visit Eastbourne next week to sign copies of his latest novel.
Mr James, author of a series of crime thrillers set in Brighton, will appear at WH Smith in Terminus Road for a book signing from 4pm to 5.30pm on Friday, May 27.
He will be signing copies of his new novel Love You Dead, the latest in a series of Brighton-based thrillers following Detective Superintendent Roy Grace.
The new novel sees Grace on the trail of Jodie Bentley, an expert in venomous reptiles who marries a string of rich elderly victims.
Well known for his in-depth research, while wriitng the book the author spoke to a number of experts in the UK and abroad and visited reptile shows in Holland and Germany.
There he came across everything from a Black Widow spider to a Saw Scaled Viper, which kills 58,000 people a year.
He also watched a car bomb being made by an explosives expert and spent time with undercover operatives learning how advances in DNA has helped to catch criminals.
