A crackdown on parking problems in Polegate was backed by members of East Sussex County Council this week.
They include a ban on parking at a number of junctions in the town to aid visibility and manoeuvrability.
The Regulatory Planning Committee on Wednesday supported recommendations made in a draft Traffic Regulations Order and decided objections should not be upheld. Polegate Town Council and other interested parties had raised a number of parking issues, including commuters leaving their cars in the roads surrounding the railway station (pictured above). There are 35 sites in the town where restrictions are set to be imposed with double yellow lines.
