The following are court results from Hastings Magistrates’ Court which covers the Eastbourne area from May 27 - June 2.

May 27:

Thomas Green, 20, of Clementine Avenue, Seaford, pleaded guilty to obstructing a police officer. The offence took place at Battle Road, Hailsham, on February 14. He was given a one year conditional discharge.

Jimmy King, 44, of Wadhurst Close, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. The offence took place at Cornfield Road, Eastbourne, on July 17 last year. He was sentenced to four weeks in prison. Magistrates said the reason for the custodial sentence was because of the number and nature of previous convictions.

June 1:

Jonathan Dixon, 47, of Golden Cross, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to being in breach of a non-molestation order by leaving a voice-mail message. He was given a one year conditional discharge.

Tadeusz Fijalkowski, 56, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to assault. The offence took place at Blackwater Road, Eastbourne, on May 13. He also pleaded guilty to unlawfully damaging a picture and two bowls on the same date. The court made a community order with a requirement of 100 hours of unpaid work and ordered him to pay £100 compensation. They also issued a restraining order.

Kieran Gilmour, 25, of Austen Walk, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing two bottles of wine from Tesco, Eastbourne, on April 28. He also admitted being in breach of a suspended sentence, made by magistrates on March 9 for affray and common assault. He was sentenced to a total of 16 weeks in prison.

Christopher Lumley, 25, of Myrtle Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis resin. The offence took place at Brassey Avenue, Eastbourne, on April 6. He also admitted being in breach of a 12-month conditional discharge, made by the court on December 11 for being in possession of cannabis resin. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing.

Amy Nicholson, 20, of Victoria Drive, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Corsa on the Avenue, on May 14, while over the drink-drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 52 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. She was fined £212 and banned from driving for 14 months.

Gracious Nyanhete, 22, of The Avenue, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing perfume and cosmetics worth £122 from Debenhams at Eastbourne, on April 14, She was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing.

Tianna West, 19, of Vicarage Drive, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. The offence took place at Terminus Road, Eastbourne, on May 15. She was given a 12-month conditional discharge.

Daniel Black, 23, of Appledore Close, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Eastbourne on December 18. He was given a one year conditional discharge.

Jake Chaproniere, 20, of Observatory View, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Eastbourne on December 18. He was given a one year conditional discharge.

Miss Robin Knight, 18, of Gilbert Way, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Eastbourne on December 18. She was given a one year conditional discharge.

Jack Page, 20, of Observatory View, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Eastbourne on December 18. He was given a one year conditional discharge.

Bradley Parr, 23, of Western Road, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Eastbourne on December 18. He was given a one year conditional discharge.

Jamie Rainsley, 22, of Ventnor Close, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Eastbourne on December 18. He was given a one year conditional discharge.

Matthew Skinner, 24, of Seaside Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving an Audi car on Etchingham Road, Eastbourne, on March 4 with cannabis in his bloodstream. He also pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis resin on the same date. He was fined £120 and banned from driving for 36 months.

June 2:

Thomas Suddes, 42, of Swadlincote, Derbyshire, pleaded guilty to driving a Cherokee Jeep at Newhaven Port on May 18 while more than three times over the drink-drive limit, He gave a breath alcohol reading of 109 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. He was fined £1,000 and banned from driving for two years.
