The following are court results from Hastings Magistrates Court covering the Eastbourne area from November 17-18.

November 17:

Anthony Goodsell (aged 23) of Milfoil Drive, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to being in possession of an imitation firearm on the Promenade, Grand Parade, Eastbourne, on August 28. The Crown Prosecution said it was a Gamo Blowback BB air gun. He was given a community order with 250 hours of unpaid work.

Connie Schoeffer (aged 25), of Enys Road, Eastbourne, was convicted, following a not guilty plea, of stealing goods worth £166.93 from Boots in the Arndale Centre on August 2. Among items stolen were hair straighteners and a Peppa Pig DVD. She was also convicted of assaulting a police officer on the same date. She was given a community order with 150 hours of unpaid work and had to pay court costs of £1,420. 

Radoslaw Stefaniak (aged 37), of Langney Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to keeping a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog despite being disqualified from doing so under the Animal Welfare Act. He was banned from keeping a dog by Brighton Magistrates Court in July 2014. He was sentenced to a community order with 80 hours of unpaid work.

November 18:

Aaron Jefferson, (aged 28), of Sydney Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing bottles of spirits worth £265 from Waitrose in Eastbourne on October 30. He was fined £50 and the court made a community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement.

Michael McCabe (aged 41) of Upper Avenue, Eastbourne. pleaded guilty to causing £100 damage to a car wing mirror, at Upper Avenue on October 30. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £100 in compensation.

Miroslaw Duraj (aged 44), of Wellesley Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to harassment of a woman by attending her home address and acting in an abusive manner and sending her six intimidating and abusive text messages. The court issued a restraining order and fined him £250. He was also ordered to pay £250 compensation.

Declan Hutchinson (aged 32), of Foxglove Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly at Jevington Gardens, Eastbourne, on November 1. He was given a 12 month conditional discharge.

Gordon Offord (aged 54), of Midhurst Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to being in possession of 28 grams of cannabis at Eastbourne on February 6. He was fined £100.

Steven Tompsett (aged 31), of Solent Crescent, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to driving a Volkswagen vehicle on the A27 at Cophall Roundabout without due care and attention. He was fined £400 and his driving record was endorsed with eight penalty points.
