The following are court results from Hastings Magistrates Court covering the Eastbourne area from November 3-4.

November 3:

James Gibbin, aged 45, of Langney Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. The offence took place at Dudley Road, Eastbourne on October 25.The court made a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement and also issued a restraining order.
Dennis Jackson, aged 49, of no fixed address, was sentenced to four weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months after pleading guilty to being in breach of a restraining order issued by the court. The offence took place at Eastbourne on October 7. The court also made a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement.
Kevin Didsbury, aged 34, of no fixed address, was found guilty to two charges of assault by beating. The offences took place at Chichester Road, Hellingly, on June 28. He was find £100 and the court made a community order.
Alan Hollis, aged 37, of Cornfield Terrace, Eastbourne, was found guilty of two charges of threatening behaviour and a charge of assaulting a police officer. The offences took place at Old Orchard Road, Eastbourne, on July 13. He pleaded guilty to damaging cell walls at the Custody Centre, Hammonds Drive, Eastbourne, on September 23. The court made a community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement.

November 4:

Thomas Manktelow, aged 22, of Downs View Way, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to driving a Fiat Punto on Lottbridge Drove, Eastbourne, on October 17, while twice over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 100mcg. The legal limit is 35mcg. The court made a community order with 80 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for two years.
Bradley Murphy, aged 24, of Crowhurst Close, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Focus on St Anthony’s Avenue, Eastbourne, on October 20 while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 59mcg. The legal limit is 35mcg. He was fined £120 and banned from driving for 16 months.
Claire South, aged 33, of Malvern Close, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to three charges of stealing meat worth £273.20 from Co-Op supermarket in Hailsham Road, Polegate. The offences took place on three occasions in October. She was given an 18-month conditional discharge.
