Eastbourne Photographic Society is organising evening walks throughout the summer months.

The camera club is taking advantage of the lighter evenings and local countryside.

Eastbourne Photographic Society will be going on walks around the area during the summer months and would like to offer an open invitation to people to join us.

Sheila O’Brien

Sheila O’Brien, secretary at the society, said, “Eastbourne Photographic Society will be going on walks around the area during the summer months and would like to offer an open invitation to people to join us.”

The walks started last week, with photographers meeting on Ratton Drive for a Downland walk. Members and visitors captured striking photographs of landscapes during the walk and hope to do the same in the coming months. Last week’s walk was the first of many and on May 29 walkers are invited to meet at the main entrance to the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill.

On June 12 the walkers will start at the Beachy Head Pub lower car park. There will be another walk around the town’s marina on June 26, meeting at Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club. Walkers are invited to meet in the Birling Gap car park on July 10 then in the Pevensey Castle car park on July 24. On August 7 the photographers will enjoy Cuckmere Valley. The walk will start in the pub car park.

The final walk will take place at the end of the summer season on August 21st the Long Man of Wilmington car park. This walk will take a circular route through Wilmington and Folkington, to include the Long Man.
