Eastbourne Borough Council has appealed to residents to help recycle record numbers of Christmas trees this festive season.
There will be 16 temporary tree recycling points across the town, open from December 27 to January 14. Trees are shredded and the chippings are used in local parks and gardens, adding to the total green waste recycled from Eastbourne. The tree recycling sites will be located at: Hampden Park, Princes Park, Gildredge Park and Archery Park; Car parks at Atlantic Drive, Fishermans Green, Treasure Island, Holly Place, Sevenoaks Road and College Road; Stores car parks at Asda, Tesco (Lottbridge Drove), Homebase, B&Q, Sainsbury’s (Cross Levels Way), Langney Shopping Centre, Courtlands Road.
